Glad we gave this a try! The dry hot pot with intestine (less spicy) was so good. The pork trotters were so delicious also. The taste reminded us of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. We had enough leftovers for lunch the next day!

One week later, we ordered the dry hot pot take out, and it came in a big aluminum foil pan.

Great Chinese food in College Park! The atmosphere was clean and showed high quality. The service was good and all the food came out around the same time. The food was all tender; nothing felt squishy. My favorite dish was the Boiled Fish Fillet in Chili Sauce. The fish was so tender and the chili sauce added amazing flavor. I also had the Fried Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. It was good and a nice appetizer or side to share. Another dish I recommend is the Vegetables Hot Spicy Pot. It had a great variety of vegetables and a subtle kick. The fourth dish I tried was the Fried Rice with Chicken. You can’t go wrong with fried rice, so it was obviously good. All the food is great for sharing and reasonably priced. Overall, I was very impressed by Eastern Gourmet. If you know the right things to order, you’ll definitely enjoy your meal. 5 Stars!

Authentic Chinese food! Better than the long-gone Shanghai Tokyo (if you still remember it). Love the beef noodles, though it’s a bit spicy for me (you can ask for less spicy). I saw some comments mentioned the food is served slowly, it’s no longer an issue: I ordered several times and the average waiting time is 5-10min, however, the checkout could be slow.

The only thing I found incongruent is the loud music played in the background => seems they stopped it the next day

Very authentic Chinese food. We ordered Mapo Tofu, double cooked pork belly and an appetizer. Highly recommended Mapo Tofu. Not too spicy and made vegan to adapt to local tastes, but still got that numbing punch from the Szechuan pepper sprinkle.
